Soul Retrieval
It is my belief that we all have the right to heal and reclaim our own power and place of belonging. My goal is to work with you to release the pains of old wounds and fears and to help you access and empower your own "Inner Healer".
Indigenous peoples of the world are aware that traumatic life experiences can result in the fragmentation of our inner, vital essence or soul. The subsequent loss or disassociation of parts of the self often results in a phenomenon called 'soul loss.' Among the traditionals, soul loss is regarded as the primary cause of illness. Soul loss can occur in response to severe life traumas such as physical, mental, emotional or sexual abuse. This can include a molestation experience during childhood, a divorce, abandonment, betrayal, surgery or an accident. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder that so many people have experienced as a result of war, famine, earthquakes and most recently, terrorism, is a classic example of soul loss. Yet soul loss can also be the result of something very subtle and personal to an individual. This is often the case with early childhood soul loss in which there has not been an overt trauma, yet the infant has not been welcomed, nurtured, loved and cared for adequately for her to feel safe in the world. Soul loss is an important life-coping mechanism. It allows us to narrow our awareness and to focus on physical survival. If we were in touch with all our perceptions, they would most probably overwhelm us. So parts of the soul leave and unless they are welcomed back within a few days, they generally stay away until invited back. There are certain symptoms of soul loss that frequently manifest as feelings of being fragmented, of not being all there; not being able to remember parts of one's life; apathy or listlessness, or a lack of joy in life; the inability to feel love for others or receive love from another. The loss of these parts of the self manifests frequently as despair, suicidal tendencies, addictions and depression. Among the traditional peoples, those medicinemakers who specialize in soul retrieval work are assisted by their spirit helpers, tracking the lost soul parts, finding them and returning them to the person who has lost them. The result is that the individual's soul is restored to its whole and undistorted state. In the process, the person's vital essence returns as well, something that is frequently experienced as life-changing. It is not Soul which becomes retrieved, but a physical/emotional/mental aspect which is rediscovered and on its return allows the door to open for self realization as Soul. With the return of fragmented aspects comes an awareness of strengths and talents brought in at the time of birth. One awakens to their life purpose and goals of understanding what it means to be whole. Unless parents support children to grow within their innate abilities to send and receive information, which does not come across electrical equipment, those abilities can be buried deeply within the (waking state of) consciousness. These days as more of us who accept innate abilities have children the fear of the unknown is becoming an adventure into the known. When an expression of ourselves we wish to experience or demonstrate is not allowed by an outside force – person, place or thing – that aspect of expression “leaves” us to protect itself from further pain caused by neglect. When this happens, we long to reclaim that lost piece, and to heal. Soul cries out for expression deep within us and draws us to seek healing. When the piece left, it sought protection from pain. When it comes back, it seeks expression and healing. The call of Soul impels us to reconnect to ourselves. We do this by creating similar situations as in the past in hopes of finding that lost aspect. When we over react to a situation it’s a sure sign we have some part of our Soul lost. Overreacting tells us an old pain has been triggered, and is surfacing to be healed. When we hear ourselves say “Why do I always get into the same kind of relationship?” the answer is simple: we are attempting to find an aspect lost within a similar experience. When we return the Soul-aspect which was lost, we heal the wound and empower ourselves to make different choices. Body work of any kind and Soul Retrieval are compatible. Both are working with bodily strength, energetic flow, balance and integration. Whether it is Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage, Reiki, Polarity, Stones or Soul Retrieval, each is dedicated to the releasing of pain, the healing and integration of the whole person. Together as facilitators we can support the healing of Society and the World one person at a time. It is a great honor to be initiated into soul retrieval work. I feel that I've been preparing for this for many years. I'm happy to talk to you more about soul retrieval, if this 'speaks' to you. |
WHY CLING
Why cling to one life till it is soiled and ragged? The sun dies and dies squandering a hundred lived every instant God has decreed life for you and He will give another and another and another ~ Rumi |
